Barrinha or known as “Area 51” between kitesurfers with local knowledge offers a perfect combination between super flat conditions at low tide and moderate windwaves during high tide. Located at the north east part of the bay of Prea directly at a river mouth the spot offers a vast area of stand deep water conditions due to sediments washed in the atlantic during the wet seasons.
The village is situated aproximately 10 km east of Prea and by Buggy the place can be reached within 15 minutes driving along the beach. The major attractions are the dunes and the fantastic views along the bay of Prea and the Lagoons of Pinguela. Some hidden lagoons and oasis within the dunes provide an extra kudos during the trip.
